Hip Flexion

Lower body power relies on your ability to utilize your most powerful hip muscle: glute max. Your power is tied to your posture and hip positioning which breaks down when we have tight hip flexors and/or lower back tightness. Hip flexion is basically the ability to kick your upper leg (femur) behind you without moving the hips forward (rotating anteriorly).

Prime Movers

Power comes from proper mechanics, and that means allowing the primary movers to do their job. If glutes are primary, hams secondary, and calves third on the list, injury will occur if we demand more from our hamstrings and calves then they are equipped to handle.
