Nutrition Optimization

Identifying the variables that are causing inflammation, allergy, and in general that are making you feel crummy is the key step to this process. It's important that we take steps toward identifying the root cause of what is keeping you from total optimization. From glucose, sleep and stress, we will do a deep dive into your current state.

We may suggest that you get with your doctor to have some blood work if you haven't done so already. We may also study your reactions to certain foods and look for patterns by monitoring your glucose levels at various times of the day.

In this final step we will identify the right fuel for your body combined with timing of meals, fueling for activity and/or exercise and how to turn this into an easy-to-manage lifestyle.

Is Your Current Diet Working?

I think about this quite a bit when people ask me how they should eat.

My answer usually ends up with “how is effecting you?”

Here are a few ways to determine if your diet works for you…
1) Blood Glucose Levels: optimal range is 75-85 fasting and shouldn’t spike much over 100
2) Post-meal Fatigue: do your meals make you tired? If so, something’s out of whack.
3) Unexplained Weight Gain: you “eat right” and workout yet you have extra weight. You shouldn’t have to kill yourself with workouts to achieve optimal body composition.
4) Inflammation and or IBS: if you constantly feel inflamed or suffer from bouts of cranky bowels, you could be eating something that’s disrupting your GI.

Is this for you?

  • do you struggle to find a diet or eating method that works?

  • are you battling with information overload and wondering where to go?

  • have you tried the standard methods and failed?
